What is DOBBOB-GUMDO?
DOBBOB-GUMDO, or Oriental fencing, is over 5,000 years old and was at first practiced only by the Korean royal family and the aristocratic class. Applied to modern times, this fighting art teaches you how to protect yourself effectively with a broomstick, a cane, an umbrella, or other such every day items. As practiced today, in a sense, DOBBOB-GUMDO is neither a martial art nor sport, but a spiritual and physical discipline. To be sure, the most important purposes of studying DOBBOB-GUMDO teaches you how to protect yourself from an attacker with a weapon. You gain confidence that you can defend yourself. DOBBOB-GUMDO teaches coordination and self-discipline. And it helps balance your body for quick movements and action needed for self-defense.
Who can Join the SWORD PROGRAM?
Sword Training is for all ages regardless of their martial arts experience. The program is designed to teach swordsmanship in a manner that is safe, simple, and fun for students of all experience levels. The sword programs are also specifically for those who are planning to study farther than Martial Artist experience

You begin your journey with the introductory sword classes. These lessons will give you a taste of what DOBBOB-Ssaurabi sword martial art is all about. You will be introduced to some of the fundamental strikes, slices, blocks and sparring with padded sword.
